We had an 18-year-old orange

We had an 18-year-old orange Oriental-type tabby Tom cat named Solar Cat, so we were looking for a name for the black kitten who joined the household at about the same time.

One of us happened to remark one morning that, like Cat Stevens, she was being followed by a moonshadow, and I said, "That's it! That's his name!" And so it has remained to this day.
