Lilliput is the name of the island of tiny people, known as Lilliputians, in the book written in 1726 by Irish writer, Jonathan Swift. There have been several movies made, based on the book. In 1939, 1960, 1970, 1977, 1996 & a modernized version starring Jack Black in 2010.

The term Lilliputian has entered many languages as an adjective meaning "small and delicate".
